New Year’s in Jackson Hole

Are you in Jackson Hole looking for something to do for the big night? We have a great New Years in Jackson Hole evening planned out for you. Just follow along for the most fun!

New Year’s Eve day, planning on skiing lightly…you do not want to overdo it! We suggest some nice cruisers, a late lunch at Off-Piste at the top of the Gondi or perhaps a nice waffle at the top of the Tram. Start Apres at the Spur (get the nachos) in Teton Mountain Lodge or check out the brand new lounge in Hotel Terra, Bar Enoteca. Head back to your hotel/home around 5 for a quick shower to prepare for the evening.

If you are staying in town or in the Village, you are in luck! Both Snow King Resort and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort have candlelight parades. At Snow King, the NYE Candle Light Parade skis down the mountain at 6 PM. Seen from quite a few places in town, there are also fireworks at the end of it. Starting at 6 PM out in the village, Apres Vous chairlift will have a candlelight parade and there will be fireworks in the commons.

If you have already planned a meal at one of our fine restaurants in town, great! If not, you might be a little hard-pressed to find an available spot depending on the size of your group. We would suggest a longer or later Apres with a bigger meal as you can always catch a snack later. Alternatively, you can go for a late dinner and be perfectly prepared to move right into the party!

There are various celebrations throughout the valley that start around 9 or 10. For example, if you want a truly unique New Year’s Eve, we would definitely suggest heading up the Gondi for the Gondi Gala with live music and champagne toasts. This will be unlike any other party in town as it’s on top of the mountain.

There’s of course live music at the Mangy Moose, the Wort, the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, and the Pink Garter as well. All of these places will prove to be lively spots and fun for all!

To perfectly honest, though, New Years in Jackson Hole will be great no matter what you do! Just being in Jackson Hole for New Years is enough and you could go to bed at 8 PM and still have the best New Years ever.
