John and Jess Wort opened the Wort Hotel in 1941, realizing their father’s dream to open the first luxury hotel in Jackson Hole, Wyo. The hotel, located just off Town Square, has been a central gathering place ever since. Today the four diamond boutique maintains 59 guest rooms and the historic Silver Dollar Bar, named for the 2,032 uncirculated 1921 silver dollars inlaid on the bar top.
