Scott Singleton has been diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease.  Interstitial lung disease is scarring of lung tissue. The scarring associated with interstitial lung disease has affected his ability to breathe and get enough oxygen into his bloodstream. Once lung scarring occurs, it is irreversible and progressive.

Scott will require a double lung transplant and that procedure will cost a minimum of $900,000.  Scott’s insurance will not pay for the entire amount.  Please contribute as much as you are able.

Here is a note from Scott:

As we all know, life is an amazing journey with countless blessings, wonderful people and the occasional major challenge. I have lived a truly blessed life with amazing caring children, exceptional grandchildren, a supportive family, a patient wife and friends like you.

Some of you don’t know this but last winter I began having increasing difficulties breathing during activity in Jackson Hole.  June led to a ten day visit to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN where I was diagnosed with an incurable lung disease called Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD).  The cause of my affliction is unknown, I never smoked and my life habits (perhaps not always the best) don’t lead to this diagnosis.

We have sold our Jackson home and are at this writing in our 3rd week at the Needles California Marina on the Colorado River.  The elevation here is around 400 feet and my breathing is much easier.  My prognosis is headed toward a dual lung transplant within the year if I can match the protocol required for such a procedure. We will endeavor to keep in touch and thank you for all you meant to us.

 Love to you all,  Scott

Thank you for all that you do!
