Huntsman Springs
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we would like to highlight a new community in Driggs, ID, called Huntsman Springs.
The profits from Huntsman Springs will be directed to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. In 1995, Jon and Karen Huntsman founded the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah. The Institute is now one of America’s major cancer centers dedicated to finding a cure. The combined facility features leading-edge research laboratories and a state-of-the-art hospital treating cancer patients. The recently announced $100 million expansion will double the laboratory space and create the Primary Children’s and Families’ Cancer Research Center, which will focus exclusively on inherited and childhood cancers. Huntsman, a three-time cancer survivor, is dedicated to finding a cure for the disease that took his mother, father, and stepmother.

“Our vision for Huntsman springs is that it be tailored to the surrounding landscape while respecting the environment. We also want to be mindful of those who have lived here all their lives. We hope that Huntsman Springs will enhance Driggs and the lifestyle of current residents as well as providing an attractive recreational and residential community for newcomers who have yet to discover this part of the country. I truly hope that the characteristics of Driggs never change. It may be among the last great American small towns. Rural towns everywhere tend to be discovered eventually and attract people trying to escape the hassle of urban life, but I would not like to see Driggs develop into an Aspen or Park City. We truly love everything about Driggs as it is today and hope that it stays small and clean and a safe place to live and spend time with the family.”
