Ilene is a sixth -generation native of Jackson Hole, hailing from a family with deep roots in the area, tracing back to her ancestor Nick Wilson, the founder of Wilson, WY. Raised in Wilson, she was actively involved in the local 4-H community, particularly in the horse program.
Ilene raised her two sons, Will James and Trey Cooper, on the Circle EW Ranch north of Jackson. Her sons thrived in Jackson, participating in the horse and beef 4-H programs, representing Wyoming at the National 4-H Conference in Washington DC., and serving as Junior Leaders mentoring younger 4-H members. Trey was involved in High School Rodeo in Team Roping and both boys enjoyed roping at local rodeos. Their interests also include hunting, fishing, competitive shooting, snowmobiling, and scuba diving.
Ilene herself was a dedicated 4-H leader and played a significant role in fundraising for the indoor arena at the Teton County Fairgrounds. With a passion for all aspects of medicine, she devoted over 40 years to the medical field, spending the last 36 years with Teton Orthopaedics. Additionaly she served as a volunteer EMT in Teton Valley, Idaho, before starting her family.
Her love for Jackson’s seasonal activities is evident as she engages in team roping and barrel racing, along with fishing, golf, trail running, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. Ilene also has a strong interest in suicide awareness and mental health advocacy.
Ilene is very excited to join her husband, David NeVille , in the real estate industry as part of the NeVille Asbell team. They live in Jackson with their two dogs, Sunny and Lucy, and two horses, Cooper and Tex.
